RIGI x CaCTüS: Joint Event in Stuttgart

This joint RIGI x CaCTüS event brings together interns from both programs for a full day of exchange at the MPI-IS site in Stuttgart.

The day will begin with a welcome session, followed by a series of research demos in the morning. Interns will rotate through multiple demo stations, offering hands-on insights into ongoing projects and technologies across the institute.

After a group lunch, the program will continue with two parallel workshop sessions, alongside informal networking opportunities throughout the day. The event is designed to encourage interaction between the two cohorts, foster exchange across research areas, cultures and backgrounds.

About the session: Working in Diverse Scientific Teams is an interactive workshop for early-stage researchers focused on effective collaboration in diverse research environments. Participants will reflect on communication styles, teamwork, inclusion, and cultural differences in academia, and will discuss practical strategies for building respectful, inclusive, and productive scientific collaborations.

About Ksenia: Ksenia Keplinger investigates how people and organizations interact with AI systems in high-stakes contexts, with a focus on inclusion, decision-making, and leadership. She designs and evaluates socio-technical systems that enable responsible and effective human-AI collaboration. Her work provides the behavioral and organizational foundations for deploying AI systems that are robust, fair, and impactful. She leads an interdisciplinary research group combining HCI and organizational science, supporting PhD students in developing and deploying AI systems in practice.
