The Power of (peer) Mentorship
Date: Wednesday, June 10
Time: 10:00 – 12:00 CEST
Location: MPI-IS Stuttgart
About the session: This hands-on workshop on the power of networking and (peer)mentorship explores networking and peer mentoring in personal and professional growth. You will engage in some practical exercises to build meaningful connections, share experiences, and develop supportive mentoring relationships. By the end, you will leave with a handful of directly actionable strategies to strengthen your networks and foster mutual growth.
About Janneke: Janneke Schwaner is independent research group leader at MPI-IS, as which she leads the Neuromechanics of Movement Group. Originally trained as a biologist and comparative biomechanist, she knows the strengths of building a cross-disciplinary (mentoring) network. To assist others in thinking mindfully about building their professional networks, Janneke facilitates hands-on workshop, for example during the Amsterdam Movement Sciences Annual meeting, and in a recent online webinar from the European Society for Movement Analysis in Adults and Children.
